Founded by Augustinian nuns in the 1640s, this monastery is best known for its hospital, the H-Dieu, which still operates today. The church, designed by Pierre ond in 1800, features a Neoclassical facade adorned with a sculpted Ionic portal. Highlights of the interior, crafted by Thomas Baillairginclude the high-altar tabernacle, the retable and the basket-handle wooden vault. Opened in 1958, the Musdes Augustines de l'H-Dieu de Quc (Augustine Museum) presents a collection of objects and artworks tracing the Augustinian Nuns' history and heritage. The museum includes one of the foremost collections of paintings dating back to the time of New France.

Congratulations on the in-house win in the Arches and Archways contest at WSF this week, Bianca. How pretty the golden brown of the arched doorway and green of the roof is in the otherwise neutral palette.
